    Default Jumpweb-Map for Fading Suns

    Hey everyone!

With the revamp of Fading Suns, the Jumpweb-Map had to be updated and given a new look that both reflected the colors long-time fans associated with the game and something to make it feel somewhat medieval. The setting is quite unique in that regard and the map works very well as a stand-alone or in the context of the book.

I've experimented with how I attempt the nebula in the background a lot. I settled on the way the secondary color of the logo I created for the game and adapted it to be mixed media. So I established colors digitally, used a scan of a high-contrasted watercolor-page I made and overlayed that with some necessary settings over that, added some details and voilá! =)

Shouldn't it be Kurgan Caliphate? Anyway I like it more than the old one they had.

Thanks Larb! I would have guessed so, too. Bill (one of the originators / authors of the game) seemed to be OK with it and it is as I had it in my Refs, but maybe it is an oversight.

Oh damn, I love that background! I know you detailed a little as to how you made it, but I would love to have been able to spy on the whole process Beautiful colours and love the texturing.

I kinda prefer planets over house logos, but the background is astonishing!

Thank you Ilanthar! Understandable, but that was a clear necessity in the description.
