Faerûn Continent, Forgotten Realms

This map was a progression over many years with more hours than I can count. Research was easily the most time-consuming, as each location needed to be looked up and correctly placed. Because there are so many editions, interpretations, mistakes, misspellings, and creative liberties from past cartographers/designers that have to be compared this took a very long time, with some locations taking over an hour each. In the end, this is where I ended up. I'd argue it's the most lore-accurate, and detailed 3rd Edition map of Faerûn that's been made, and while it may not be beautiful like some of the art-like maps made here, it's meant to be actively used by the Forgotten Realms community as a tool and I think it plays that part very well.

It was made entirely in Photoshop and took 5 separate maps merged together into a final map.
