    Default Reputation Comments - a noob's journey

    Hey, all.

    In my "notifications" I see I have "reputation comments" or something like that. What are these? What are they for? Where do I find them? I followed the link, but I don't seem smart enough to locate it on the thread it linked to.

    In summary, people can 'rep' your comments or your maps as a little reward, or just to say they like it. Many will leave a little comment too, though it's not mandatory to do that. As your reputation total builds, you'll get more of the little green boxes under your user name at the left of each comment. If you hover over those with your mouse, you can see your total, plus a fun little title for the level you're currently at.

    It's not a very important feature in the great scheme of things, but it's nice to give rep to people to show how much you like their contributions to the site.

    EDIT: forgot to say... the way to rep someone is to look for the little star icon at the bottom of their comment. Click on that and the rep box opens up allowing you type a comment.

    You can get to such comments by clicking on the "settings" link located below your user name. As for what they are there is a sticky thread in the general discussions sub-forum that talks about reputation, or you can look through the FAQ.

    Hey, you won't find them in any thread; they are separate comments and/or reputatio points given to you by other posters in case they think you created a good map or made a valuable post.
