I really like this. The topography fits just right with the lakes and it looks great!

The shadows look very good with one small exception. It may just be me, but some of the taller mountains have shadows that may be a little to dark. I realize that is sharper elevation rise, but those mountain peaks almost look like they are floating above the mountains. I don't think it is way off, but just a little less might blend in better?

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm very new to shading so it's good to have feedback about this! I've been working on it (and colours) so it should be a lot better now. What do you think?

Baby idea turned out as a big project! Lots of enjoyment are going into this. Here are some more adjustments, and of course some roads, cities and labels. I still have a lot of ideas though, and some conlanging will be needed for the names as well. ^^

Looking great. I personally feel that the height scale should be the other way around, right now I feel that Green is high on the map, and red shows depth. And a scale of meters or feet would be cool as well.

Really? Strange. The scale is there already though! It's in meters although that's not specified yet.

hehe.. I didn't make myself clear. I can see the scale (just missing meters), but it seems strange to me that 0 is at the top, cause that is the opposite way of the coloring of the island. So even though the numbers make sense, my mind want the highest number to be on the top of the scale .. hope I made sense this time around

Tilt means that your actual scale should be reversed to show red at the top of the bar. And green at the bottom of the scale bar. As it is more intuitive to have your highest point at the top.

A scale of undersea trenches might look like your current bar scale for example, with the larger, deeper numbers being at the bottom and sea level being at the top. Hope that makes sense.

Unless there's a reason to have it the way you do currently of course.

New version! I'm having some legibility issues now. Feedback welcome as always.
