A very rough start to my entry for the contest
just feeling out textures and shading atm, I haven't really planned much of the layout yet or what the scene will contain.

Sorry for the delayed response to your question, but I see you figured it out for yourself.
Excellent start to your entry, congrats on being first!
Great colors and textures. Because the end is cut off, I can't tell if this is a bridge or a dock. If it is a dock, shorten it a little and show the end.
If it is a bridge make your canvas a bit longer and show at least a little of the other side.
Either way, you are off to a great beginning.

Also, once you decide on a name for your map I will change the title for you.
The title should read:
Aug/Oct '21 Lite Challenge: "Cool Name for Your Map"

This format helps when I set up the voting poll so people can find your map quicker.

Yeah I will be adding a small amount of land on the other side just didn't get round to it haha I spent most of my time on the water!

Oh I see. My bad. Yeah Ill think of a name for it and let you know!
