    Thank you, I share the same thoughts about the double stroke but it was the only way to fit the lettering to clients needs in a short time. I will look into a better and efficent way.

    I would suggest just a white stroke or an opaque white glow around the text to make it visible but not distracting.

    That's my go to method but customer wasn't happy with it. It might be the font too.

    Well, client is king as they say. If they're happy, you're happy I'm sure. And rest assured, it's an awesome map even with the doubly-stroked labels. I especially love the 3D effect on the coasts. They really seem to rise out of the water, excellent job!

    We've all had it happen, and taken it with a smile, lol. If it's a commission the client always wins no matter how much we disagree.

    My day job is also heavily dependent on the client. It just hurts me when the client choses the worst design option that I've added to polish the better idea.
