Default Greetings. New here, I'm just a real person with an odd personal brand.

I've recently found during worldbuilding that I rather enjoy cartography, and would like to explore it more in an environment of proficiency where I'll learn things over time, and have more fun with it.

There's an old saying about the fellow with the least experience in the room getting the most out of being in that room. Seems like a good spot for me, here. LOL

I'm sure I'm a hack by many standards; but I hope to get better, and one day grab pen and brush to make something traditional. My primary interest is worldbuilding, but I'm obsessed with making it all work properly.

The fastest way to get advice is to do something in public view. Show us your maps!

As soon as I'm sure I understand how the forum works and read all the rules in the various sections, I'll go for it.

It'll be fun to post and get some feedback, and look at the work of others, as well. So far I've seen some amazing work.

There is a lot of amazing work here, and a lot of less-amazing work as well. No matter how bad you think your efforts might be, the low end is currently being held down by these two gems: https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=23770 and https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=33598 : I'm sure that you'll do better.

Ah, just found the basic reply button now.

I just posted my first upload here, so hopefully I've done it right and followed the category and posting rules properly.

I'd missed these two cartographic masterpieces! Thank you for resurrecting them from the depths of the internet's inexhaustible memory. These are two gems that should be cherished forever!
