Hello!
I am Aeydas, and glad to finally create an account on this forum after lurking for quite a bit. I am currently creating a world map (in Inkarnate) for my fictional world of Aeydas, but once it's done I will start working on learning GIMP to recreate the map. Looking forward to new ideas to steal take inspiration from.

Second what Wminish said - that is how we all learn. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Tutorial section of the forums as well, especially the Quickstart Guide to Fantasy Mapping and the PDF tutorial list. There's some Gimp tutorials there that could maybe help you get started.
